Hazel. Just another stray, right? Wrong! Hazel is exceptional. She was found by a young girl who couldn't keep her so Animal Friends was called. One look at this little girl's face told our Admissions Counselor that we were getting a special cat.
Hazel is only about 8 months old. She's small girl with beautiful black and white markings. She even acts like a little girl. She's downright dainty and feminine. She walks like a girl. She plays like a girl. If she could throw a ball, she'd throw like a girl.
She's a little timid, but gentle and affectionate at the same time. She likes to be picked up and held. Are you looking for a TV companion? Hazel also likes to be brushed. So while she's on your lap, enjoying the attention, get out the brush. She'll be one happy girl if you do that! And, of course, she likes to play. She's still a youngster.
Hazel is afraid of other cats and dogs. She wants to be an only child and have all the love you can give. She would probably do fine with children, but maybe not a toddler. Really small kids lack the fine motor skills to always be gentle. That could scare our Hazel.
Hazel is just a beautiful, sweet, dainty, small cat. That may not make her exceptional, but it makes it impossible not to love her. She so wants a person to love. She wants to live in a nice home, with a kind person who will love her back. She wants windows to look out, birds and squirrels to watch and bugs to chase at the screen.
